Festive Lanterns

Paint the town red by making paper lanterns!

Enter the Fortitude Valley of Benjamin Law’s childhood and take a turn around Chinatown in the 80s, full of colour, multiculturalism, culinary curiosities and secrets. During this activity, you’ll have the chance to paint the town red by making a paper lantern. Watch the room light up ahead of Chinese New Year and explore the light side of one of Brisbane’s most infamous melting pots of culture and late-night economy. Leave your mark on the exhibition by hanging your finished lantern or take it home with you to keep.
