How do you carve a path through displacement to arrive at a place of growth and healing?

Enter an inclusive and meaningful discourse about the importance of intersectionality, language and transcultural knowledge as emerging artists Rhanjell Villanueva and Naavikaran sit down in conversation for BrisAsia Festival 2022.

About Rhanjell Villanueva

Rhanjell’s work combines deep transcultural knowledge with his lived experience as a queer Filipino artist in Brisbane. His colourful installation celebrates a boundless capacity to transform and adapt.

About Aniway

Aniway Aquilizan is a Meanjin-based art worker, writer and artist with a background in art history and community development. Aniway’s embodied research focuses on shared cultural practices, diasporic identities and memories, defiant temporalities, and re-imagining colonial and imperial exchanges.
