Our popular MoB Makers: Drawing the Body series returns to Museum of Brisbane! Learn how to join the face through contemporary portraiture techniques, in an intimate setting with all materials plus drinks and nibbles provided for only $30.

About Tori-Jay Mordey

Drawing on both her Torres Strait Islander and English heritage, Tori-Jay Mordey’s contemporary illustrations explore themes of family and self-identity through detailed and immersive portraiture. Often using members of her own family as subject matter, Tori-Jay combines stylistic cartoon fantasy with stunning realism to capture the complexities of our inner lives and emotions. Tori-Jay’s artworks traverse multiple mediums, from digital illustration, drawing, painting, printmaking, film and murals. She has also authored and illustrated several children’s books.
