Write your heart out pop-up

Share the love in a one-day only pop-up writing event with Trent Dalton and a troupe of emerging writers!

In 2021, writer Trent Dalton spent two months sitting on a street corner of Brisbane’s CBD armed with a 1960s Olivetti typewriter and sign saying “sentimental writer collecting love stories”.

The result? Love Stories, a best-selling homage to our city’s rich and complex relationships. Now it’s time to dust off the old Olivetti and revisit where it all began.

Join Trent and a troupe of emerging writers in King George Square on Friday 6 September from 12pm-2pm to help continue sharing the love, in a one-day only pop-up event. Whether it’s love lost or found, brief or everlasting, pour your heart out and help continue the legacy of sharing the love this Brisbane Festival.

MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC.

Write your heart out is supported through Brisbane Festival’s Giving Program by Ian & Cass George.
